Vapour Phase Chemical Decontamination during planned steam-out to remove H2S, residual hydrocarbon & pyrophoric material from main vessel and associated equipment. |
|
ProDecon® Method |
Controlled injection of LDP-88VP™ Vapour Phase chemistry into the column and associated equipment through dedicated ProDecon ‘steam-cubes’ over a specified time. Vent to flare and then, at a reduced rate, vent to atmosphere for a short time (details available on request) |
|
Circuit volume: |
> 1400 m3 |

Chemistry used: |
LDP-88VP™ (ProDecon® Vapour Phase Decontamination Chemistry). |
|
Safety performance: |
Excellent. No incidents, no lost time first aid, no reported near misses |
|
Environmental performance: |
Excellent. Minimal effluent discharge. No adverse impact reported. |

Customer verified results: |
References may be available on request. The following comments are taken from client witnessed Completion Report. |
|
Vessel pre-entry checks: |
Zero H2S, Zero LEL, Zero CO and no hydrocarbons. |
|
Vessel internals:
|
“The cleanliness of the vessel internals was extremely good” The boot of the tower was clean and coke free. It was noted that there was less residual chemical odour than when other decontamination chemistry had been used and there were no complaints regarding irritation from those working inside the vessel. Unlike our customers experiences with other chemistries, ProDecon® LDP products caused no vessel entry delays and no interference to sampling and monitoring equipment. |
